Symbiopsychotaxiplasm: Take 2 1/2 (NR)
synopsis
This one-of-a-kind sequel to William Greaves' avant-garde 1968 Central Park documentary/fiction about a cast's rebellion against their director may be one of the most daring, insightful movies about acting ever made. The film's focus is contentious interracial relationship played by actors filmed both in 1968 and 2003. However, any one story line does not drive the film as much as the dynamics behind the camera that determine what is seen. It's a power that pinballs from black to white to director to actor to crew to audience. Like a modern-day Greek chorus, the crew comments on the ongoing action.
