synopsis

An in-depth examination of the proliferation of nuclear weapons during the Cold War and its legacy- an enormous arms stockpile in both the US and Russia. Through interviews with nuclear scientists from New Mexico's Los Alamos lab and Russia's Arzamas-16 facility, along with historical footage, the film traces the history of the nuclear arms race, from it's origins in the WWII Manhattan Project up to its present-day aftermath.
