In The Land Of Poison Women (Bishkanyar Deshot)

synopsis

In an isolated dwelling on a hillock, lived an old couple Sangra and Lusang, whose two children and four others had died after consuming a local wine prepared by Lusang. She is ostracised by her community over their superstitious belief of her being a doumoh, a poison woman. Thupten, an intelligence officer and Tasi Yudan, a circle officer - both from the same tribe - visit the couple. As Lusang lies in her deathbed, Sangra, in the presence of everybody, reveals a long-hidden secret which vindicates ‘doumoh' Lusang, and she dies peacefully.
