synopsis

Reeling in the aftermath of her mother's suicide attempt, a young swimmer works through her trauma in the water while desperately trying to break the wall of silence at home. When sixteen-year-old Mia returns home from swim practice, she discovers her mother attempting suicide and rushes her to the hospital just in time. But once they return home, there is a suffocating silence between them. Mia keeps the event a secret and continues to train for an upcoming swim meet, suppressing her pain and shame - until the bubble bursts at the pivotal moment, forcing mother and daughter to confront their unspoken trauma.
