synopsis

In this contemporary retelling of Dostoevski's famed novel, "Crime and Punishment," Roseanne, a brainy and beautiful high school student, conspires with her boyfriend to murder her stepfather. After the two successfully pull off the crime, they discover a minor hitch: Vincent, a classmate with a raging crush on Roseanne, has witnessed the whole thing. However, when her mother is charged with the murder, Roseanne discovers that Vincent is less of a threat to their secret than her own conscience.
