synopsis

"Evan's Crime" is the dramatic portrayal of the capriciousness and inequities of the American justice system and one young man's struggle against it. Evan White is a 20 year old college student and aspiring musician with a girlfriend he loves and an up-and-coming indie rock band, "White Noise". Late one night after an out of town gig, Evan gets arrested at a motel and charged with possession and distribution of marijuana and cocaine. On the basis of little proof and questionable testimony, Frank Coleman, an ambitious Federal Assistant District Attorney, decides to throw the book at Evan and prosecutes him on 7 different counts with a possible sentence of 28 years. Faced with the bleakest of futures, Evan must prove his innocence or potentially lose everything and everyone he loves.
