Wendell and the Lemon (NR)

synopsis

Wendell, a young man at a crossroads, finds a lemon on the sidewalk in front of his apartment. Although the most ordinary of lemons, it begins to function as the dwarf star around which his galaxy revolves, while the people in his life seem increasingly like they're from Outer Space. The more strained Wendell's relationships with friends, family, and coworkers become, the more irresistible the lemon. He is soon carrying it with him wherever he goes. And this gets him into all sorts of trouble, because (of course), his behavior looks so odd to others. Most of his personal relationships deteriorate: his boss grows suspicious, a blind date goes sour, his family is scandalized, the police want to know what's with the weirdo.
