synopsis

Floating is the story of a young manís struggle to come of age during a violent period of emotional and financial bankruptcy. Norman Reedus (Six Ways to Sunday) plays Van, whose life is shattered when he was sixteen by the car accident which severed his fatherís legs. Vanís mother, unable to endure her husbandís descent into alcoholism and depression and their subsequent financial loss, has abandoned the family. Van has been left to shoulder the responsibility of his embittered father, with no one to nurture him through his own pain.
