synopsis

The original director's cut of Swedish wildlife filmmaker Persson's documentary on South Africa's increasing isolation from the rest of the world. The South African censors went ballistic and the film was released as a pale shadow of itself as The South Africans. The original cut has, however, been languishing in the National Film Archives and, released from banishment, can finally be seen.
