Amy Kalafa and Susan Rubin, founder of Better School Food in Mt. Kisco, NY, give an inside look at what’s on the menu in some of our nation's school cafeterias. In their crusade to replace junk with real, whole food, the two moms take their case to the USDA, challenge outdated nutritional and economic considerations, explore sustainable food projects being successfully implemented around the country, and, closer to home, capture the step-by-step transformation of one dedicated Westchester County school district.
