synopsis

Opening night has finally arrived for a student-led, Shakespearean theatrical production at a small college in Virginia. Everything is progressing well, when suddenly the fire alarm sounds, the lights cut off and a student collapses unconscious. As the audience evacuates and the injured student is borne awat to the hospital, the play's student-director, Mandy Holden, is left sitting in the empty theater, wondering who or what could be responsible for the chaos that has plagued her production for months. A series of flashbacks raise more questions, leading to the ultimate confrontation in which Mandy discovers how closely the attack on her production is bound up with her own personal fears and desires.
