synopsis
"The Gift" portrays the negative impact drugs have on society through the characters Derrick, a second generation Korean American teenager, and his sister. Derrick goes through ordeals where he gets hooked in dealing drugs and eventually experiences a family breakdown and incarceration. He later comes to recovery as he is introduced to Jesus Christ by a pastor who testifies to him while he is in jail.
