Welcome to New York (2006) (NR)

synopsis

Welcome to New York is a set of impressions, an exercise of inverted ethnography -- from South to North -- in which the Chilean directors show their particular and sarcastic vision of the "Capital of the World." Tragedy and comedy alternate in strong contrasts while the camera goes in its journey across the city looking for humans, animals, politics, fashion, sense and nonsense, beauty and dead. All within the frame of the 2004 Presidential Campaign, in which George W. Bush was reelected.
