H.C.E. (NR)

synopsis

It is night. It is dark. 'H.C.E.' is a dream of the nightmare of western history. A six-year-old girl is our guide as we bounce around the tumultuous centuries from Napoleon to Jesus, Socrates to Superman. The film has the appearance of being conceived in the 19th century and born in the 21st -- like some sort of modern digital zoetrope. 'H.C.E.' is a tragicomedy where mythology, history, literature and comic books all collapse into dream logic as a testament to our human endeavor.
