synopsis

In order to strike back at the medieval creature haunting her family for generations, Lily Pierce must reconnect with her estranged father, a disgraced history professor, and learn how to draw upon a time of steel and blade when armor-clad knights rode out and dueled monsters to the death. Lily’s battle to defeat this horrific presence will not only bring her face-to-face with her most twisted fears, it will also bring about a reckoning with her mother’s suicide and the long-lasting effects untreated mental illness can have on a family.
