synopsis

Growing up fatherless in 1973 Slovenia, 13-year-old Egon spends his days moving back and forth between his mother and grandmother. Unsettled and lonely, Egon takes up with prankster Fric, and the two set out on a series of local adventures. But these escapades provide only a temporary diversion from Egon's real problems, his emerging sexuality and his mother's mental illness.
