synopsis

Irish cop Bill Coughlin (Justin Chatwin) must contend with bigotry in his Boston neighborhood and within the police force after being assigned to protect black high school students bused into all-white South Boston High in the 1970s. Amidst the chaos, 18-year-old Wendy (Lovie Simone) and her father Lamont (Terrence Howard) are tested by the resulting violence and city-wide protests, while Bill's 17-year-old daughter Kate (Katie Douglas) begins to question and revoke the racist beliefs around her. In THE WALK, three stories collide during the fateful first day of school.
