Prince and the Revolution LIVE!

synopsis

James Brown had the Apollo. Jimi Hendrix had Monterey Pop. And Prince had Syracuse, New York's Carrier Dome - the site of his March 30, 1985 Purple Rain Tour performance that was beamed to millions live via satellite and captured for posterity as a Grammy Award-nominated concert film. For the first time, this powerful performance by Prince and The Revolution has been entirely remixed and remastered, and the picture has been improved significantly. Running nearly 2 hours, the film features smash hits from the legendaryPrince albums Purple Rain, Controversy and 1999, including a mind-bending 18-minute version of "Purple Rain." Given Prince's love for an afterparty, this special fan event also includes a mini DJ set after the film from DJ Rashida, Prince's touring DJ for more than a decade. Curated exclusively for the post-show party, Rashida will spin an iconic mix of songs from across Prince's legendary career.
