synopsis

Belgian-Irish cave diving hobbyist Jim Warny finds himself thrust into the middle of one of the most risky and complex rescue operations in modern history. Called upon by the British Cave Rescue Council, Warny acts as a support diver for the three-day extraction of 12 boys and their coach who had been stuck in a flooded cave passage in northern Thailand for over two weeks. Together with several other civilian volunteers who took part in this mission, Warny portrays himself in this gripping, non-fiction drama that shows how the Thai Navy Seals, the US military, and several uniquely trained cave diving experts performed an extraction that will prove tragic for some and miraculous for others.
