The Mercy of the Jungle

synopsis

1998, in the Kivu region, at the border between the Congo and Rwanda. While the Second Congo War rages, a Rwandan war hero, a sergeant named Xavier, and the young soldier Faustin, lose track of their battalion. And so, they find themselves isolated without supplies, having to confront the vastest, densest and most hostile jungle on the continent. Tested by their hunger, thirst and illness, they each must face their own misery, as well as a territory ravaged by violence.
