synopsis
History of Jerusalem over the centuries, and moving into the present and future, filtered through the lens of filmmaker Havilio's family. His mother's family were Sephardic Jews, thrown out of Spain in Columbus's time, while his father fought to free Paelstine from the British. The film traces the cultural intermingling of Arabs and Jews in the last century, and the ethnic battles that have divided the city in more recent times.
