Jerry Ross Barrish, a native San Franciscan and bail bondsman is on a hero's journey where art is his salvation. Like an alchemist Barrish fashions sculpture of recycled materials that tell a story. Sometimes an individual is compelled, in the face of daunting odds, to find his identity by making art and becoming an artist. Found object sculptor and filmmaker, Jerry Ross Barrish grew up in a working class family, the son of a prize fighter who counted as friends, famous gangsters and movie stars.
