synopsis

Gangu, Nihal and Gary are three friends, who are brought together by their common backgrounds and work dexterously for their dreams, attaining success in life. Gangu is also desperately in love with Sanam, who only croons with him in his fantasies. Abdul, an orphan and a small time crook meets with the trio-some and becomes friendly with them. They start indulging in felony in their locality and form a gang named Gang. Each member is a manifestation of a specific sentiment in the Gang. Gangu acts as the conscience and a moderator who constantly charades and tries to stop the members from going overboard. Abdul represents the bravado and ambitious side. He is the one who introduces them to the big bad world and fuels their aspirations. Nihal is the brainy, and the logical part of the group. While Gary is a greedy and foolhardy goon who often falls into trouble much to the chagrin of his associates. These guys work with a don Majeed Lala. But the greed of Abdul and Gary see them change their affiliations towards another heinous don Girija Shanker inspite of severe objections by Gangu. By a twist of fate, Gangu finds himself behind bars and when he comes back he finds the rest of the Gang pretty prosperous. He discovers to his utter disappointment that they have taken the path which he despises so he disassociates himself from them. Those who live by the sword; die by the sword, so goes the saying. And the whole Gang undergoes a metamorphosis and is befallen by a string of tragedies.
