synopsis

When two men are caught by a dangerous current, lifeguard Donato dives in to save Konrad, a German tourist, but his best friend's life is claimed by the sea. While the search is on for the body, Konrad and his rescuer get to know each other. Their initial physical attraction soon turns into a deeper emotional bond and Donato ends up following Konrad to Berlin. Years later, Donato is confronted with his past when his younger brother Ayrton appears at his door, wanting to know why Donato left him without saying a word. But just like Donato, Ayrton throws himself into the maelstrom of the strange city and finds more questions than answers.
