synopsis

Weaving through a world of hate crime, international espionage and extreme rock climbing, "Lie Detector" is a psychological thriller about FBI special agent David Wellman, whose work as a polygrapher on the Hate Crime Unit is suddenly disrupted by a horrific car crash. David's injuries and subsequent recovery rip apart his private life; yet bring powerful insight into his work as an agent. This epic, personal journey underscores themes of family, redemption, and personal friendship, and takes David from the confusing world of his aphasia-stricken mind to the terrifying vertical walls of El Capitan in Yosemite Valley.

"Lie Detector" was directed by Portland filmmaker Scott Forslund and stars RC Everbeck, Richard Topping and Karla Mason. The screenplay was written by Scott Forslund and Tim Ryerse, and the original score was composed by Cal Scott.
