synopsis

This is the story of an autistic boy lost in the New York City subway system. When 13 year-old undocumented immigrant Ricky wanders away from his family in their oceanside neighborhood of Rockaway, Queens, he stumbles into the cacaphony, eccentricity and menace found in New York's underground. His mother's frantic efforts to find him are complicated by her lack of legal resources as an illegal immigrant - and further complicated when Hurricane Sandy threatens the city.
