Uncovering the postwar fate of the Jewish women, men and children who survived the Shoah in the Soviet Union, Poland and Eastern Europe and sought refuge in the Displaced Persons camps in Berlin – Jewish Transit Berlin preserves the memory of the last remaining eyewitnesses and enriches their testimonials with never seen motion-picture footage showing Berlin 1945 and the life inside the large Jewish Displaced Persons camps of Schlachtensee and Tempelhof.
