synopsis

Based on the classic Cuban piece The Old House by playwright Abelardo Estorino, the film tells the story of Esteban, who, after learning of the imminent death of his father, returns after a 14-year absence to his mother's home in Cuba to rediscover a nearly untouched past. Secrets, old grudges, misunderstandings and intolerance frequent his stay at his home, where time seems to have stood still.
